What did we learn about the community in the last year and a half, about its capacities to overcome the crisis and establish itself as a strong pillar for its members? How can we improve the enabling environment for giving? How can we transform philanthropy and adapt it to the current social context and new reality? What is the role of philanthropy in challenging times? What’s the importance of addressing underrepresented topics and making sure that no one is left behind? Is the local community strong enough to provide sufficient support for everyone in need? Is humanity put to the test? What are endowment and reserve funds, why are they useful and how can they be established?

Welcome to the National Conference on Philanthropy!

Trag Foundation and the Coalition for Giving are inviting you to the National Conference on Philanthropy: New Reality – New Opportunity, organized with the financial support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The event represents the key platform to promote dialogue and collaboration between government, civil society and the corporate sector on issues related to philanthropic giving.

Throughout the conference, participants will have a chance to discuss a variety of issues including  the improvement of the enabling environment for philanthropy development, providing incentive to philanthropic giving in times of humanitarian crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic, contributing to the initiative to abolish VAT on donations of food before its expiration date, the use of tools for digital promotion of philanthropic activities and stimulating the development of community foundations in their quest to strengthen the philanthropic infrastructure in localities across Serbia.

The conference is a part of the Framework for Giving project, funded by USAID and implemented by the Coalition for Giving, led by the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation. Other Coalition members are the Trag Foundation, Catalyst Balkans, Smart Kolektiv, the Serbian Philanthropy Forum, the Responsible Business Forum, and the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry
